I like Squidoo, kinda.
It was the first place I used for a website. Once you got use to it, it was easy. The biggest problem was how slow it was. Many times I would have to quit working on a lens because it was so slooooooow.
But since I really didn’t know how to make a website, Squidoo was my training ground.
My very first lens about Herpes treatment was # 1 for it’s keywords, got 30 hits per day and made about $200 every month. I thought I was Mr. Internet for awhile.
And I made a few more that brought in some dough.
But after about a year or so of using Squidoo, they started enforcing bans for certain niches.
They banned my Herpes site first, a long time ago.
Then this past September, 2009, they hit another top rated site pulling in over $200 per month.
It’s been a long time since I’ve used Squipoopoo, have all my own sites now, and it’s a great place to start and learn.
But you have zero control. Now you know why I call it Squipoopoo!
Get your feet wet using Squidoo.
Make copies of the lens you make, maybe 3 and just add one letter to the url so your rankings in the SERPS will be close.
This way, if they ban one, you still have 2 left unless they check your complete account.
So have three accounts, make 3 copies of each with just minor changes unless you have a lot of time then go nuts.
As always, I’m more then happy to answer any questions.
