That’s why it’s so important that you actually take the time to build a business that gives you true freedom and enough income to live anywhere you want. Because in the best of the both worlds you should be able to have both: A real homebase in one of your favourite places and the ability to go with your location independent business on workation whenever you feel like it.
Great article. My site has been up for several years now but I rebranded and switched from Blogger to WordPress about a year ago because I was told the reason why my traffic is so low is because I was using the wrong platform. I still haven’t seen an increase in my traffic and am very frustrated. I write in the health, fitness and parenting niche and I have over 30 experts that write for me, but I still don’t have the page views I would like. My paychecks are small and I am very frustrated. How do I find out what influencers in my niche are talking about and what they would like to share? I read tons of blogs, but most of them just review products or write about their kids, not a whole lot of similar articles. Where do I begin to find sharable content in my niche?

What is a email funnel

Hi Brian, i absolutely love your content. My competitors and influence rs are very strong-most of them government bodies or supported by government, or travel guides known worldwide.I constantly follow them, get onto them.like, share, comment etc.they share photos that are submitted to them, and i do photography myself which takes hours and still can’t reach out big audience…Any idea please what could i create that my influence rs would love to share (hard to find out what they care, they get 100’s photos submitted daily and collaborate with other big names…) Please help me.
My company has been working on a large link building project. We’ve already performed extensive keyword research and link analysis and now we’re considering executing an email outreach campaign. However, all the content we’ve created up until this point is geared more towards our target audience as opposed to the key influencers of our target audience. Do you think it would be worth it to try to build backlinks to our existing content or are we better off creating new content that directly appeals to the influencers of our target audience?

What is the meaning of sales funnel

Ask a marketer or business owner what they’d like most in the world, and they’ll probably tell you “more customers.” What often comes after customers on a business’ wish list? More traffic to their site. There are many ways you can increase traffic on your website, and in today’s post, we’re going to look at 25 of them, including several ways to boost site traffic for FREE.

How do I drive traffic to my Shopify website

If you go for depth in your content, instead of breadth, promotion will become so much easier. Look at what everyone in your arena is providing – show up to the 500-word advice post party with a 5,000-word step-by-step guide post that actually helps people, and your readers will notice. You’ll not only have a much greater chance of selling people on the quality of your content, it’ll be more likely to go viral AND Google will rank it higher in the organic search because it’ll be longer and more in-depth.

Since you may be living in remote areas or countries without a strong infrastructure, you’ll also need to get creative when it comes to the things you need to work. While the reality of remote work can be less glamorous than some of those pictures, the lifestyle is extremely rewarding, even when you do have to track down a dark, dingy café that’s the only place on the island with Internet.
This is a really creative way to connect with other related brands and influencers, and all get together to chat, educate, and generate new leads. Choose a topic that you’re all interested in and knowledgeable about, and you don’t even need to make it fancy. The best part about webinars, is that everyone involved will bring some of their own audience, resulting in a great lead generation opportunity, and you've got a captive audience of people interested in your field.

I know some business owners that have had great success on Pinterest. You’ll want to make sure you have good visuals to go with each blog post – infographics are great for this – and make sure you’re posting at least 10 unique pins for every blog. Most importantly, Pinterest is a community just like any other social media, so make sure you’re active regularly, connecting with others in your niche, and re-pinning others’ pins.
For example, if you’re selling an eBook, you could offer a free chapter in exchange for their email address. Submitting their email is a low barrier to entry, and they’ll receive a lot of value in return. From there, you can use their email to push them deeper into the sales funnel, especially since they have already shown interest in your product.

This one is so obvious, we’re going to look at it first. Paid search, social media advertising and display advertising (try our Smart Ads Creator!) are all excellent ways of attracting visitors, building your brand and getting your site in front of people. Adjust your paid strategies to suit your goals – do you just want more traffic, or are you looking to increase conversions, too? Each paid channel has its pros and cons, so think carefully about your objectives before you reach for your credit card.

This was very interesting. I run a website that promotes sports entertainment amongst teenagers who are graphic designers or video editors. The foundation is in place (Over 60 contributors) so my only focus is how to blog consistently about what goes on in the sports world with appeal to teenagers. I am confident i took a huge step today after learning these 4 steps!

How do I sell my artwork

You ever hear that phrase, “It’s easier sell gold than it is to sell shit”? No website starts out as minted gold right off the bat, so make sure you’re not trying to peddle, well…you know. In the beginning, a lot of websites try to create useful content on their blog for their audience but end up churning out all the same 500-1,000-word articles offering the 10 quick steps to achieving xyz. Not only is there no shortage of that content, but recent blogging statistics show it’s the last thing that’s going to make you stand out from the crowd and make a lasting impression.

Of course, regardless of how they enter into your funnel, your goal as a marketer is to move them through the multiple stages that will take them from prospect to buyer. And once they're aware of you, you need to build their interest. To do this, you need to establish a relationship with the customer. You might have enticed them with a great offer (lead magnet) to grab their email address, but actually moving them through the funnel is a far greater challenge.

What is Google funnel

Of course, implementing this isn't easy. You need to first develop your stories, then decide on how you're going to convey those stories and at what drip-rate. For example, your first email or two might go out on the day they first signup, then one email per day might go out afterwards. How much of that will be story-based and how much will be pitches?

Is ClickFunnels legitimate

Like you I am a scientist and like you did in the past, I am currently working on translating great scientific literature into tips. In my case it’s child development research into play tips for parents. I can already see that the outcome of my experiment is going to be the same as yours. Great content but who cares. I hadn’t even thought about my key influences. I know some important ones, but don’t see how they would share my content. I thought I was writing content for my potential customers. Is your SEO that works course the same as the content that gets results course? Sorry if I sound a bit dim asking that question.
Digital nomads tend to travel while they continue to work with clients or employers.[10] This sort of lifestyle may present challenges such as maintaining international health insurance with coverage globally, abiding by different local laws and sometimes obtaining work visas, and maintaining long-distance relationships with friends and family back home.[11] In some cases, the digital nomad lifestyle leads to misunderstanding and miscommunication between digital nomads and their clients or employers.[12] Other challenges may also include time zone differences, the difficulty of finding a reliable connection to the internet, and the absence of delineation between work and leisure time.[13][8] Services such as PayPal are popular among digital nomads.[4] Skype is also a common tool for people to use to communicate through voice, text, and video chat across long distances.[4] YouTube has also been used by digital nomads as a means by which to earn revenue without having to have a central workplace or living space.[4] An important step in being a digital nomad is ensuring that all relevant documentation (such as visas and passports) is kept up to date. If you do not, it can lead to legal difficulties when traveling abroad.[14] A solid grasp of any official languages of the countries you are visiting is also important, as a lack thereof can prevent a person from engaging with the locals. It also creates the risk of complication if you have to go to the hospital.[14]
I am just get intersting in this new lifestyle, I am very young and I love travel I all ready been in Shanghai. the thing is a friend of mine tell me about this “ciber nomads” that really convence me to get in to, difficult for me to understand how it works yet still thinking I have no idea how to start! How can I learn SEO fast

Hi Brian, I’m so glad I found Backlinko! I’m downloading all the free guides you’re offering and taking notes. I started a blog last year, and I’ll just call it my “learning blog.” You help me understand that I need to change how I think about content creation (think keyword and topic, research it, THEN create content). So that will be the first strategy I implement for the new blog I plan on launching in the fall.
So newcomers: Post your questions here if you don't see it here already. And regulars, please post a full and complete answer to new inquiries if you would -- this will let us develop a reasonably complete reference for newcomers to check out, and we'll start removing posts that are the same questions over and over and point newcomers to this thread to make sure that the subreddit remains an interesting and thought provoking place to have discussions.
One of the earliest known uses of the term digital nomad originally was in 1997. It was the title of a book published by educational publishing company Wiley. It was written by Tsugio Makimoto and David Manners. It is unknown if the phrase was coined in this book or if they took a term that had already existed.[4] Digital nomads can use wireless Internet, smartphones, Voice over IP, and/or cloud-based applications to work remotely where they live or travel.[5][6] Digital nomads may use co-working spaces, cafes, house sitting agreements, and shared offices.[7] The foundation of the digital nomad movement is remote work, allowing people to do their work at home or otherwise through the Internet.[8] Digital nomads may also sell a number of possessions in order to make travel easier, and may also sell or rent their house.[9]

For my Adsense plugin which you can get here https://wordpress.org/plugins/adsense-made-easy-best-simple-ad-inserter/ I’ve created a PRO version (https://www.seo101.net/adsense-made-easy-pro/) that is available to those that sign up for my mailing list. It’s not much but it gets me 5 to 6 subscibers a day. And best of all I know exactly what my subscribers are interested in… WordPress and Adsense:)

digital nomad skills

The first thing you need to do is figure out what skills you possess that you can monetize online. You’ll obviously need to be able to type and use a computer as well as the Internet. The good news is that in today’s day and age, that’s a skill most people already have. You can increase the chances of landing higher-paying remote work by building on knowledge and skills from things you’ve studied or worked on in the past.

What is a good number of visitors to a website

If you're wondering what a sales funnel is, simply imagine a real-world funnel. At the top of that funnel, some substance is poured in, which filters down towards one finite destination. In sales, something similar occurs. At the top, lots of visitors arrive who may enter your funnel. However, unlike the real-world funnel, not all who enter the sales funnel will reemerge out from the other end.

What is a vagabond lifestyle

I’m considering a niche that I’m not sure I can find good influencers for – fundraising. School fundraising or charitable fundraising. I’m passionate about it but how would I get my articles shared by influencers? The non-profit sector is somewhat apprehensive about promoting commercial sites, unless it’s fundraising software. The name really says it all: “non”-profit.

The characteristic that all digital nomads have in common is that they usually spend several months abroad each year, are constantly on the move, and earn an income while working online. A digital nomad can easily make an income of $12,000 per year and live a nice, cushy lifestyle in countries like Thailand or Bali in South East Asia. Take that same digital nomad to London, Paris, or Sydney, and that’s not going to work out so well. Location independence means nomads have true freedom thanks to healthy incomes that allow them to run their business from any city on the planet, even from the most expensive ones.

Finally, becoming a digital nomad allows you to travel the world. Once you’ve figured out how to stay productive you can reward yourself and go on workations to many amazing countries around the world. Want to escape the winter in Berlin and learn to surf in Bali, or work from Rio de Janeiro for a few months? You can do whatever your budget and workload allows you to do.

The so-called expat community is large and thriving, which forms the basis for most digital nomad clusters and groups in the most popular cities in the world such as in Chiang Mai, Buenos Aires or Budapest, just to name a few examples. Tap into this thriving community to get the answers to the most pressing questions about living and working as a digital nomad and you'll be surprised at the quality of information that comes back.

I´m a 23 yo male from Germany. I´m a certified IT Specialist - mostly doing helpdesk related stuff and also sysadmin stuff. I´m currently planning a world trip and was wondering how to extend my trip by working. My problem is all the remote jobs I can find are mostly programming and web design.... I did webdesign in school once and liked it a lot but I´m also colorblind (red/green and blue/purple if that matters) so I might not be able to fulfill customers needs. So basically my questions is, what are other remote jobs I can possibly do that fit my qualification. Any help and advice is very much appreciated.

The second thing that you want to do is you want to collect all the brand assets. You want to have an agreed upon. What fonts are we going to use, what colors are we going to use, what logos do we need for what products, you know, basically get all the brand assets together because you’re going to need them for the pages, the order forms, the ads, everything.

Every day, people get up and go out the door to travel the world. And they survive and thrive. In fact, the travel industry has made it very easy to make it. Just get on that plane or train or bus. Everything else will work itself out. All that worrying and fear I had before I left was for naught — this traveling thing is a lot easier than you would believe. It’s not like you are the first person to ever do this, there are plenty of fresh high school graduates on the road too.  If they can do it, so can you!

The strength of your link profile isn’t solely determined by how many sites link back to you – it can also be affected by your internal linking structure. When creating and publishing content, be sure to keep an eye out for opportunities for internal links. This not only helps with SEO, but also results in a better, more useful experience for the user – the cornerstone of increasing traffic to your website.

incredible post and just what i needed! i’m actually kinda new to blogging (my first year coming around) and so far my expertise has been in copy writing/seo copy writing. however link building has become tedious for me. your talk about influencing influencers makes perfect sense, but i find it difficult for my niche. my blog site is made as “gift ideas” and holiday shoppers complete with social networks. i get shares and such from my target audience, but i find that my “influencers” (i.e etsy, red box, vat19, etc.) don’t allow dofollow links and usually can’t find suitable sources. I guess my trouble is just prospecting in general.

My recommendation is if you want to get started with copy that you first look up a bunch of long-form sales letters in all different kinds of industries. So pick some from real estate, from making money online, from health and from various topics and once you get those sales letters, your job is to rewrite the sales letter. So put it in something simple like a Google Doc.

As good as it sounds to travel the world and live in amazing places, you also need to keep in mind that this lifestyle is not going to last forever! I’m starting to see a trend of digital nomads returning to their home countries. Even those that have lived and loved the lifestyle for many years now. Some people work and travel for 6 months, others for 10 years but none of us will do it forever. Keep this in mind before you spend all of your time and energy taking this path.
People love to learn, and webinars are an excellent way to impart your wisdom to your eagerly waiting audience. Combined with an effective social promotion campaign, webinars are a great way to increase traffic to your website. Send out an email a week or so ahead of time, as well as a “last chance to register” reminder the day before the webinar. Make sure to archive the presentation for later viewing, and promote your webinars widely through social media. If you're wondering how to do a webinar, click the link for some tips.

How do I increase users on my website

However I feel that batching all the things influencers share , filter whats relevant from whats not… and ultimately niche it down to identify which exact type of content is hot in order to build our own is a bit fuzzy. Influencers share SO MUCH content on a daily basis – how do you exactly identify the topic base you’ll use build great content that is guaranteed to be shared?

I spent 3 weeks in Belgrade (July 2019) to visit a friend who relocated. To be honest, while i've traveled somewhat extensively, and leave the USA on average three times per year, I had no idea what to expect in Serbia (Belgrade). I'd never been to Eastern Europe, let alone the Balkans. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how incredibly friendly just about everyone was. Everyone spoke english everywhere I went: cafes, restaurants, supermarket, taxis, shops, etc. My friend has very small children, and Belgrade is FULL of parks. The parks are routinely teeming with parents, as it seems there's some sort of a baby boom going on there. I was able to easily strike up friendly conversation with locals, who were extremely cordial. Even though I was there to visit friends, I spent the majority of my time alone exploring. I stayed in the city center, close to Republic Square. From there I could walk just about anywhere; the river, the mall on the other side of the river, waterfront, the old fort, etc. Taxis were extremely cheap, but often I just preferred to walk, even to Vracar from where I was in Venac , which is about a 30 minute walk, just because it was nice to experience Belgrade and people watch along the way. The AirBnb I rented had a functioning kitchen, and food in the supermarket is pretty cheap, but so is eating out (by American standards). I routinely had lunch or dinner with a drink, coffee and desert for anywhere from $11-18USD on average. I chose mostly to sit at any one of the countless open air cafe/restaurants twice a day, because it was so worth it. Is Belgrade the most exciting place on the planet? Probably not. At the same time, it's not boring either. I ended up loving the place. Between the people, the fact that I felt completely safe walking around by myself past midnight on many occasions, the great food, and typically European feel, I would definitely recommend Belgrade. Especially if you're not on a London/Paris budget, but want to experience Europe. People are much nicer also.

If you want to have the benefits of added services, hotels and homestays are a great way to go. Hotels may offer laundry and meal service so you can focus on a difficult project or just ease into your new surroundings. You will also have an easy time finding locals to guide you with tips and tricks on your new home. Whatever you decide to do, remember that you now have true freedom so you can mix it up and change your accommodations whenever you need a change.

Brian, I recently found your blog by following OKDork.com. Just want to say you’re really amazing with the content you put out here. It’s so helpful, especially for someone like me who is just starting out. I’m currently writing posts for a blog I plan to launch later this year. I think my niche is a little too broad and I have to figure out how to narrow it down. I essentially want to write about my current journey of overcoming my fears to start accomplishing the dreams i have for blogging, business, and travel. In doing so, I will share the best tips, tools, and tactics I can find, as well as what worked, what didn’t and why.

Mentioning brands, articles, and related influencers within a piece is always a great opportunity to distribute content. When I publish a post, I aim to have between 10 and 20 links in the piece, from pull quotes to mentions. When I post, boom, I have 10 to 20 people to email to let them know I featured them. I’ll ask them to share the piece with their followers on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
